Let me cover the cost of your home inspection to ensure you know the condition of the home you are purchasing.
A smart consumer wouldn't buy a used car without having it first inspected by a mechanic - so don't go in to the largest purchase of your life blind and rely only on how nice the home appears on the surface.
I was previously a Home Inspector for over 10 years. I understand the importance and value of a home inspection for Buyers. That is why I am willing to cover up to $600 of the cost of a Buyer's home inspection from a Licensed Home Inspector of the Buyer's choice upon the closing of your purchase or sale.
How can a home inspection help you with your purchase decision?
- Uncovering unseen issues that may not be known to you (or even the Seller) such as unsafe wiring, roof issues, moisture problems, attic mold, structural flaws and safety concerns.
- A full home inspection report gives you negotiating power with the Seller. With the report, you may be able to negotiate a lower purchase price, have some of the more serious issues addressed by the Seller prior to closing.
- The report can also help you plan for the future by giving you a list of items that may not need immediate attention, but need to be corrected in the near future.
Purchasing your new home is an exciting moment in your life and the beginning of a new adventure. It is also a massive decision that should not be made with incomplete information. If someone tries to talk you out of a pre-purchase home inspection, they are not working in your best interest.
